Colleges w/ Open or Recent Sexual Violence Investigations

5/11/2015

On May 1st, 2014 the US Dept of Ed had a press release indicating which colleges currently had an open investigation of sexual assault. The release of the below list clearly emphasizes that our universities and colleges need to become more safe. Thus, two campaigns have emerged: It's On Us and Not Alone. It's on Us www.itsonus.org is a website where one can take the pledge to keep women and men safe from sexual assault. Not Alone www.notalone.gov offers victims of sexual assault a place and space to find resources, seek justice, and stay safe. Take the pledge today and know where you can find help if you or someone you know should fall victim to a sexual assault.

NACAC just published in their spring issue the overwhelming case load school counselors possess at high schools and how that directly effects their attention to student's college planning. My heart wanted to help every student that I could but there were always too many tasks outside of college planning, I had too many students (my case load was 800) and there was just never enough time.
